Overview of Biting Flies

This category of flies gets its name honestly: these flies usually pierce skin (with a painful bite) in order to obtain a blood meal.  Fly elimination usually involves eliminating or altering the material in which flies feed and breed.   In some cases, this can be very difficult.

First, properly identify the fly that has become a pest to your home or family.  Once identified, follow the instructions for eliminating that particular fly.  Elimination can involve structural change, toxic baits, pheromone traps, lure traps, space and crack & crevice sprays or surface sprays.
